From Under the Pile
So I am nearly done with another year's round of sophomore persuasive papers, which had some some not so funny things, like someone making the argument that Christian school teachers should make less money so that tuition could be lower and another student claiming that teachers tempt students to cheat by giving them homework (don't they ever learn not to attack their audience?!?). But even so, there were a few wonderful papers and a few funny bloopers:
In a paper on staying in Iraq:
"We should keep fighting because hopefully we can help turn Iraq into a real country so everyone won't hate them anymore. Maybe they could even have a chance to become part of the UN, but probably not." Oh, right, because right now Iraq is a fake country and p.s., it already is part of the UN.
In a paper on why private schools are better than public schools:
"Private schools offer different types of classes, like Music Theory and Human Botany." Wow. We must offer some really special classes...
Time to finish the stack...
